Mudit JAIN

Ph.D student

I am Mudit Jain, a PhD student at Université Paris-Saclay, conducting research at the Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies (C2N) and the Albert Fert Lab. My work focuses on studying spin-to-charge interconversion in topological insulator/ferromagnet heterostructures using terahertz spectroscopy and spin torque measurements. Currently, I am investigating the contributions of bulk versus surface states in spin-to-charge interconversion and exploring the role of spacers in preserving surface states by reducing exchange coupling. I use techniques like MBE and sputtering to grow high-quality samples and employ various characterization methods to analyze their properties. Outside of research, I enjoy cooking Indian cuisine and playing table tennis.
