On 13 May 2019, during his visit to Russia, Antoine Petit, Chairman and CEO of CNRS, signed with Vladislav Ya. Pantchenko, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), the agreement establishing the International Research Project PHYNICS.

• 9-13 September 2019 The Russian scientist in charge of IRP PHYNICS, ITMO University Professor Vladimir G. Dubrovskii, has been awarded l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques, one of the French Republic’s highest honors in the field of science and education. The distinction was delivered by Nobel Prize laureate Professor Jean-Pierre Sauvage. during the 21st Mendeleev congress.
